INITIAL SITUATION
The use of a ventilation filter is key to preventing over- or under-pressurization in tanks and significantly improving system performance. Our customer, a leading global provider of material handling solutions, has been using the ARGO-HYTOS L1.0807 series for many years.
Convinced by our performance in terms of low pressure drop and thus high reliability, they approached us with their new and demanding requirement regarding the nominal flow rate: 2,500 l/min, with consistent reliability. Since no existing product met these demands, we took on the challenge and developed a tailored solution.
SOLUTION
ARGO-HYTOS engineered a larger ventilating filter which can handle flows up to 2,500 l/min, the VFT-2500. The housing, made of glass-fiber reinforced polyamide, ensures high strength and proven durability. A major key to success was the replaceable filter element, which simplifies maintenance, reduces costs, and minimizes waste.
Additional features include a clogging indicator for optimal maintenance timing and a padlock option that prevents misuse and dirt ingress through the fill port.
