Sustainability

As part of the VOITH Group, we feel a special responsibility toward our employees and neighbours to prevent environmental risks and use resources responsibly. This commitment is tied to our aspiration to be a driving force and active contributor to a decarbonized industry in the digital age, and to continuously and demonstrably improve our environmental performance.

In addition to complying with all relevant environmental regulations and other binding obligations, we place particular emphasis on energy and resource management. We are committed to consistently reducing our energy consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions, using materials and raw materials efficiently, and minimizing waste to the greatest extent possible.

Taking environmental aspects into account in procurement as well as in the development, production, and distribution of our products makes an important contribution to environmental protection and the prevention of environmental pollution.

 

In particular, when developing new hydraulic valves or filters, we ensure that pressure loss during operation is kept to a minimum, thereby enabling energy-efficient operation for our customers.
The environmental management system and operational environmental performance are continuously improved through the planning and implementation of environmental objectives and the assignment of responsibilities.
Control and corrective measures contribute to this, as does the evaluation of environmental performance by top management.

As part of VOITH, we have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
