Environmental Policy at ARGO-HYTOS
As part of the VOITH Group, we feel a particular obligation towards our employees and neighbours to avoid environmental risks and use resources responsibly. In doing so, we aspire to be a driving force and co-creator of a decarbonised industry in the digital age and to continuously and demonstrably improve our environmental performance.
In addition to fulfilling all relevant environmental regulations and other binding obligations, energy and resource management is a particular focus. We are committed to consistently reducing our energy consumption and the corresponding greenhouse gas emissions, to the efficient use of materials and raw materials and to avoiding waste as far as possible.
The consideration of environmental aspects in the procurement, development, production and sale of our products makes an important contribution to environmental protection and the prevention of environmental pollution.
When developing new hydraulic valves or filters, for example, we pay particular attention to low pressure loss during operation, which guarantees low-energy use for our customers.
The continuous improvement of the environmental management system and operational environmental performance is achieved through the planning and implementation of environmental targets and the definition of responsibilities. Control and corrective measures contribute to this, as does the evaluation of environmental performance by the top management.
As a member of VOITH, we have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
